Happy International Women’s Day!
The power of a pop song lives where the personal meets the global. And this one reminds us that we are partners in the making of this world.
We are partners in creating the beauty and value of our world, and we are partners in fixing its problems. And one of the first tenets of that partnership – and really the very least that is demanded of us – is to ensure that women around the world live in equality and respect.
Who would I be without the women in my life? I’ve been so fortunate to have had a wonderful mother, four amazing sisters and so many incredible, smart, compassionate and strong women as partners, friends and colleagues.
So here’s to all the women who hold up their half of the sky and more, while often – far too often – ending up with less, or worse.
